Janet White – Owner/Director
Janet has over 25 years childcare experience in Day care, After school care services and private schools in Australia and Overseas. She has operated Outside School Care NT for over 10 years.
Whilst working for a Private International School at Vevey, Switzerland, she studied for and successfully completed the CACHE Diploma in Pre-School Practice. This UK childcare qualification (has been assessed by the Australian Overseas Qualification Unit as an equivalent to advanced diploma/Bachelor degree in child care)
After arriving in Perth in 2007 she undertook a variety of roles at long daycare facilities in both Director and 2IC positions. In these roles, she successfully managed these centres through the mandatory accreditation process. As a consequence, she has a good knowledge of and significant practical experience dealing with the new national child care regulatory framework. This significant experience has allowed to undertake her own licensed OSHC service. She possesses an existing (section 111 ECSNL –NT) supervisor certificate and a NT working with children check.
Our Philosophy
Outside School Care NT aims to be the leading provider of outside school hours care in the Darwin and Palmerston area by providing quality consistent care in line with National Quality Standards and Framework.
We believe in providing support to our families and assist in contributing to the long term developmental goals of the children in our care. We provide the opportunity for children learn to through their interests and play. We aim to give them a better start in life and prepare them for life by instilling a positive understanding of the community and environment in which they live.
Our team believe all children should be heard and have a choice in life as they have to face many challenges and stepping stones throughout their life, so let’s give them a better start.
Here at Outside School Care NT, by making it a happy secure environment for them to learn in with love, care and respect they deserve no matter what differences they have.
